Terrestrial Laser Scanning Terrestrial Laser scanning also known as High Definition Surveying (HDS) is an innovative surveying technique offering the ability to quickly capture complex and often inaccessible 3D environments. The three dimensional data is captured through a scanning process, comprising the acquisition of thousands of points with the resultant ‘point cloud’ suitable for the creation of detailed elevations, cross sections or plans from 3D vector extraction.
